Newcastle International says farewell to Dakotas!

Newcastle International will be taking part in the Goodbye Dakotas Farewell tour by hosting commemorative flights on the 11th and 12th June.

Flights are taking place all over the country, and Newcastle Airport is urging all avid flyers in the north east to say goodbye in style to these iconic aircraft.

The Royal Air Force received over 1,900 Dakotas at the start of World War Two, and from this moment they did not stop making history.  Dakotas were used extensively during World War Two, playing an important role in dropping paratroopers and towing gliders to the Normandy landings and to Arnhem. Four squadrons of Dakota IVs played a vital role in the Berlin Airlift of 1948/49.

The 11th and 12th of June is your opportunity to spend time on a prestigious Dakota aircraft, it really is a chance of a lifetime.

From £99pp you will experience the flight of your life!  The cost includes:
• A block to block time of at least 30 minutes
• At least 20 minutes airborne
• All airport taxes and security charges

To book your place on these commemorative flights from Newcastle International please call Omega Holidays on: 01524 37500.
