Seasonal Airport Operations Assistant

To provide a service to special assistance passengers, helping them onto and off the aircraft, and to drive coaches transporting passengers to and from the aircraft in a safe and customer focussed manner.

Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities

For special assistance passengers who have requested assistance onto the aircraft, meet the passenger at the Information Desk and take through the security search area to the designated waiting area until the flight has been called.
Return to the waiting area when the passenger’s flight has been called and assist onto the aircraft using the cabin lift.
For special assistance passengers who have requested assistance from the aircraft, meet the passenger at the aircraft and take through to the baggage reclaim hall, and where appropriate wait for the passengers’ luggage.
To escort the passenger out of the baggage reclaim hall where appropriate through customs and into the terminal where if not met by friends/relative, assist with their connection or take to the Information Desk.
To provide our customers with a safe, friendly and high standard coaching service from designated departure gates to aircraft parking Stands.

To undertake and complete paperwork for daily vehicle / equipment checks.
Reporting any faults/ defects to the Load Controller or his deputy.
Provide Terminal Concourse assistance, including assisting with baggage belt blockages.
Assist Airfield Controllers in maintaining a safe and clean working environment within airside areas.
In line with operational requirements, from time to time you will be required to carry out designated Security Officer duties as identified by the Duty Manager.
